About us

I, Evelina, and my husband, Andrius, are the founders of MUGMUG, a Lithuanian ceramics brand. We are a young family passionate about bringing coziness and uniqueness to every home through our handmade dishes. The art of ceramics is deeply rooted in our family—my parents have been practicing this craft for nearly 30 years. Growing up, I became familiar with clay, its properties, and its techniques. Even the scent of clay holds a special place in my heart! Meanwhile, Andrius has inherited from his family a strong focus on results, unyielding patience, and determination.

Not everyone follows in their family’s footsteps, and we didn’t initially consider it either. However, one day, the idea struck us as a completely new and exciting possibility. It turned out to be incredibly fulfilling and perfectly suited to us!

I have a deep love for cooking and savoring delicious, high-quality food. I also appreciate food that’s not only tasty but beautifully presented. It’s universally true that eating from beautiful dishes makes the experience even more enjoyable. Imagine if those dishes were unique, with no one else in the world having exactly the same plate or cup!

Another inspiration came from designing our own home. We realized that not just the main furniture, but also small accents and handmade pieces play a crucial role. We noticed that plant pots, trays, vases, and other interior elements can add a special sense of coziness and uniqueness. Handmade details bring a warmth and distinctiveness that mass-produced items simply can’t offer.

Once we solidified our vision, we decided to create and share these decorative items with others. Both Andrius and I are minimalists, so we strive for our products to be complementary without overwhelming the space.

Our parents' extensive knowledge and experience in the craft significantly accelerated our development. This expertise ensures the creation of high-quality products. Each piece is handmade from start to finish and glazed with food-safe materials. For us, quality, uniqueness, and environmentally friendly practices are paramount. We firmly believe that our work can enhance and decorate every home!
