About Us

Me, Evelina, and my husband Andrius are the founders of the Lithuanian ceramics brand MUGMUG. We are a young family who wanted to bring warmth and uniqueness to every home through our handmade tableware. The production of ceramic goods is close to us – my parents have been practicing this craft for almost 30 years. Growing up, I became familiar with clay, its properties, and processing techniques (from which we chose wheel throwing for our work). The smell of clay feels so familiar to me! Meanwhile, Andrius brought from his family a strong focus on results, unbreakable patience, and determination.

Well, not everyone follows in their parents' footsteps, right? Neither did we – for a while, we didn't even consider this possibility... Until one day, it dawned on us as a completely new idea. It seemed so fulfilling and fitting for us!

First of all, I really enjoy preparing and tasting delicious and valuable food. I also enjoy food that is not only tasty but also attractively presented. I’m sure everyone can agree that eating from beautiful dishes is much more enjoyable! And what would you say if these dishes were unique, and no one in the world had exactly the same plate or coffee mug?

Based in the capital, we create products that reach every corner of Lithuania and the world.

Another reason emerged while designing our home interior. We realized how important not only the main furniture but also small accents and handmade creations are. We noticed that trays, vases, mugs, and other interior elements can bring special warmth and uniqueness to a home. Handmade details provide a sense of individuality and warmth that mass-produced products cannot offer.

Once we had everything figured out, we decided that we could create and share our interior-decorating pieces with others. Both my husband and I are advocates of minimalism, so we aim for our products to be complementary rather than overwhelming elements in any space.

The development and growth of our idea were greatly accelerated by our accumulated knowledge and my parents’ experience in this craft. This contributes to the creation of high-quality products. All our pieces are handcrafted from start to finish. The dishes are glazed with food-safe glazes. For us, quality, uniqueness, and eco-friendly solutions are the most important. We firmly believe that our work can bring beauty to every home!
